China's Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi, known as HSK or the Chinese Proficiency Test is a standardized test designed and developed to assess and improve the Chinese proficiency of non-native speakers.
HSK is held regularly in China and other countries each year. Certificates of HSK will be issued by Hanban within one month after the test to those who have secured the required scores. HSK Certificate also serves as one of the important references for test takers to apply for different types of schools in China as well as for a job on the international human resources market.
